"Learning that other community leaders experience the same thoughts & feelings is comforting.

The most impactful part of the program is the safety provided to be vulnerable and real about concerns and insecurities. "

Anna Miller - Loan Officer, Dynamic FCU

Brad Alspaugh - Supervisor, Cooper Farms

Heather Garwood - Shift Supervisor, Versa Pak

"Brad has been a positive reinforcement in my quest to not just be a better leader, but a better human being."

"Very relevant to me growing as a leader.

Since day 1, my confidence in myself as a leader has grown. I lean on my mentor less and less, which shows me it's me doing it. Just knowing I know what I'm doing."

Is this You or Your Leaders?

Most leaders I meet are stuck in the same spot. Not because they're bad at it.

Because nobody ever handed them the tools.

I've been the leader reacting to fires. I've handed people responsibility with no playbook and then wondered why they struggled. I've watched good people get promoted and left to figure it out alone.

That's not a talent problem. It's a support problem. And it's fixable.

I came up through it - operator, engineer, supervisor, manager, plant manager - at big companies like ExxonMobil and Lincoln Electric and excellent smaller ones like Poseidon Barge. Nearly 15 years in manufacturing, 11 in leadership. I've led teams to real wins: output up 25%+, defects and rework cut up to 78%, millions in savings and new sales. I've done the work and used the tools I train and coach.

I've trained hundreds of leaders across multiple companies and at Wright State - Lake Campus. The best ones went on to build strong leaders of their own.

That's the greatest feeling in leadership. And it's exactly what I want for you.

Why I Built This

The Payoff: "A Transformational Experience"

Leader

  • From Unsure to Unmistakable. Leaders leave with visible expectations, a weekly rhythm that runs itself, and the confidence to coach in tough moments

  • Community & Accountability: Build Skills, confidence, and a network with local Leaders, while holding visible commitments between sessions.

  • Become the Leader your team needs with tools you can use this week.

  • More confident and capable Leader and a measurable lift on one local team metric (ex: On-Time Delivery (OTD), Retention, Uptime, Rework)

  • Retain and grow your high-potential Frontline Leaders.

  • Give them a proven playbook (not random “leadership inspiration”).

  • See it show up in retention, uptime, quality, and fewer escalations.

ROI in One Win

Improve one real number, and it pays for itself. Usually many times over.

That's not a promise on a screen. It's what Cohort 1 did. Managers valued the impact at over 17 times against an investment of $2,880, averaging the low end of every estimate.

  • One company alone estimated over $380,000 across three leaders!

  • Another of our leaders took scrap from 18% down to under 13%. Five points. Their manager valued that one move at over $50,000 a year.

We track it with your real metric. Leaders will pick one that matters to your team.

And you don't need five points. You need one.

  • Scrap or rework. 1% on a $100k/month line → roughly $12k a year

  • Retention: Keep one good person from walking → Half to twice their salary saved once hiring, training, and lost production is accounted for.

  • The numbers your business runs on. On-time delivery, loans, member growth, uptime. For a lot of teams, the biggest lever of all.

Pick one. Track it. Prove it.

And that's just the metric we track. It doesn't count everything else that gets better when a leader gets better.

Do the work and the return will far exceed the investment.

What Leaders Say

"Brad exemplifies a true image of leadership. His current leadership knowledge paired with his thirst for continuous education is commending. He has a great perspective in challenging situations and handles the most difficult with ease.

He has a vast knowledge in business and manufacturing. He appreciates the fine balance between quality, manufacturing, process control, and voice of the customer (and more!).

Truly a great servant leader."

Chris Butts - Shop Supervisor

"Working with Brad Smith was one of the most impactful experiences of my career. Brad was not only a great leader but also an incredible mentor. His ability to truly listen, offer guidance, and help you work through challenges to find the right solutions is unmatched by any leader I’ve encountered.

One of Brad’s greatest strengths is his ability to transform people into true leaders. He sees potential in others, develops it with patience and honesty, and gives people the confidence and tools they need to lead with integrity. I learned so much from the way Brad communicated with people—always respectful, clear, and constructive.

Both myself and others in the company still find ourselves saying, “What would Brad do?”—and always in a positive, respectful way. His influence continues to shape the way we lead today."

"Brad’s training on the Direction Formula has been instrumental in ensuring employees clearly understand their assignments and expectations, leading to stronger engagement and measurable results."
